Obituary for Carrol Ervin Rhodes
Carrol Ervin Rhodes, 91, of Plymouth died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Three Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Windsor.

Born July 25, 1924 in Tyrrell County he was the son of the late Walter McClees Rhodes and Blanche Mae Sutton Rhodes and was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Godfrey, Ethel Kelly and Doris Rhodes; brothers, Joe Rhodes, Wilbert Rhodes, Ralph Rhodes, Charles Rhodes and Albert Rhodes. Carrol was a retired paper machine operator with Weyerhaeuser Corporation and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member and elder of Plymouth Church of Christ and member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He love hunting and was a member of Albemarle and Welches Creek Hunting Clubs.

His family includes his wife, Grace Spruill Rhodes of Plymouth, N.C.; daughter, Karen R. Torres and husband George of Plymouth, N.C.; sons, Carroll E. Rhodes, Jr. and wife Wanda and Roy E. Rhodes and wife Debbie both of Plymouth, N.C., Joey A. Rhodes and wife Tammy of Raleigh, N.C. and David M. Rhodes and wife Debbie of Goldsboro, N.C.; sisters, Katherine Cooper of Williamston, N.C., Evie Lamb of Elizabeth City, N.C., Marion Winham of Raleigh, N.C. and Edna Pierce of Knightdale, N.C.; fifteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Plymouth Church of Christ with Bobby Wallace and Bob Moulden officiating followed by full military honors. Burial will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Plymouth Church of Christ and other times at the residence.
