Obituary for Rue Mae Livingston
Mrs. Rue Mae Young Livingston, 89, of Roper died Friday, February 12, 2010 at her residence.
Born June 5, 1920 in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late James H. Young and Claudia Stancil Young and was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Gordon Livingston, Sr.; son, James R. Livingston and brother, Clyde Young. Mrs. Livingston was a retired quality controller with Seabrook Blanching and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Her family includes her sons, Carroll G. Livingston, Jr. of Greenville, N.C., William H. Livingston and Richard G. Livingston of Roper, N.C. and James G. Livingston of Apex, N.C.; sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Willow Springs, N.C., Margie Hicks of Garner, N.C. and Jean Thornton of Richmond, VA.; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Roper with Reverend Thomas Culver officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the church fellowship hall. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
