Obituary for Marjorie Roberson Modlin
Marjorie Roberson Modlin, 92, of Morehead City and formerly of Plymouth died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at her residence in Morehead City. Born September 2, 1921 in Martin County she was the daughter of the late Wiley Brinkley Roberson and Carrie Dell Clark Roberson and was preceded in death by her husband, Rexie Howard Modlin; sister, Annie Mae Steigerwalt; brothers, Jack Roberson, Cecil Roberson, Mack Roberson and Tom Roberson. Mrs. Modlin was a retired assistant manager with Belk-Tyler's of Plymouth, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and member of Cedar Branch Baptist Church. Her family includes her daughter, Lynette M. Land of Morehead City, N.C.; sisters, Herley Keel and Lollie Biggs of Williamston, N.C.;brother, Wiley Roberson, Jr. of Williamston, N.C.; granddaughters, Kendra Barrett and Kara Varner. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Cedar Branch Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Lewellyn, Reverend Paul Weaver and Reverend Ray Everton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Cedar Branch Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
