Jacqueline Skiles Harrison, 85, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday morning, February 12th, 2023.
Born October 17th 1937 in Washington County she was the daughter of the late William Jasper "Jack" Skiles and Johnnie Spruill Skiles and was preceded in death by her husband Benny Earl Harrison and son Gregory Earl Harrison. Jackie was a devoted wife and mother. Not only did she raise 4 kids, she worked as a secretary for Tide Water Research Station, Owned and managed the family grocery store, Chief cook and bottle washer at the family owned restaurant and her last job before retiring was working with her beloved son Greg at Ivy Garden Florist.
Her family includes daughters, Cynthia Harrison Leonard and husband Robert of Greensboro, and Sylvia Harrison of the home; son, William Harrison and wife Tammie of Roper; sister, Ann Skiles Lore of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Austin Leonard and wife Angelina of Richmond; Brandon Harrison of Ayden, Courtney Harrison of Cary, Justin Allen and wife Samantha of Pantego; great grandchildren, Shelby Ross Harrison, Ellie Ruth Allen, and Reid Norman Allen.
And a very special Heartfelt THANK YOU to all the caregivers and everyone who were so attentive to our mom's needs: Robin Holloway, Pam Barber, Glenda Yoder, Charlene Richards, Jennifer Scott, Kim Styons, Lena Davenport, Bonnie Bowen, and Jessie Webb.
AND AN EVEN BIGGER THANK YOU TO OUR SISTER SYLVIA WHO WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR MOTHER DAY AND NIGHT. CYNTHIA AND I THANK YOU AND WE LOVE YOU.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Zion's Chapel Church of Christ in Roper with Mark Wilmoth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the service and other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in our Mom's memory to Zion's Chapel Church of Christ at PO Box 99, Roper, NC 27970.
