Obituary for Daniel Clifton Everett
Daniel Clifton 'Cliff' Everett, 90, of Plymouth died Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at his residence in Plymouth. Born September 13, 1923 in Washington County he was the son of the late William Alfred Everett and Jessie Lloyd Phelps Everett and was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Snell Everett; son, Russell Dail Everett; brothers, Johnie Everett, James Everett and Herman Everett. Cliff was a retired shift superintendent with Weyerhaeuser Corporation for 43 years, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church. His family includes his son, Daniel R. Everett of Plymouth, N.C.; sisters, Estelle E. Powell of Roper, N.C., Shirley E. Crotty of Katie, Texas and Viola E. Zelum of Alice Texas; brothers, Van Buren Everett of Clovis, New Mexico and William Everett of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandchildren,Dana E. Baur, Clifton R. Everett, A. Kevin Everett, Nichole Allen, Christopher D. Everett; great grandchildren, Holly M. Gardener, Hayley M. Baur, Mark T. Baur, Jr., Joanna R. Everett, Kaleb C. Everett, Madison G. Allen, Trenton G. Allen; great great grandchild, Carter L. Wiggins. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Free Will Baptist Church, Plymouth with Reverend Leonard Bowers, Reverend Sherman Branch and Thomas Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hope Free Will Baptist Church, Plymouth and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funral Home, Plymouth.
