Obituary for Chloe Hardison Roberson
Chloe Hardison Roberson, 89, of Plymouth died Monday, November 14, 2011, at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth. Born October 9, 1922 in Martin County she was the daughter of the late Joseph Martin Hardison and Chloe Bell Daniel Hardison and was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lanier Roberson; son, Eddie Roberson; sister, Louise H. Coltrain; brothers, Robert Hardison, Bill Hardison, State Hardison, Noah Hardison and Simon Hardison. Chloe was a retired floral designer and member of First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Laura McNair Circle, served on the Washington County Hospital Auxiliary and sang in the Community Choir. Her family includes her daughters, Lois Jean Tetterton and husband Don of Creswell, N.C., Becky Edwards and husband Jim of Colerain, N.C., Cindy O'Neal and husband Joey of Hatteras, N.C.; sons, Freddie Roberson and wife Anita of Bear Grass, N.C., Virgil Roberson and wife Faye of Plymouth, N.C., Harold Roberson and wife Reva of Plymouth, N.C. and Carroll Roberson and wife Joyce of Roper, N.C.; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, Plymouth with Reverend Jimmy Hagwood officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church and other times at the residence of her son Virgil Roberson. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
