Obituary for Betty Ann Glover
Betty Ann Burnham Glover of Plymouth, NC was born December 12th 1937 to Martha Bateman Burnham and C.W. "Snooks" Burnham. She died suddenly on Sunday, August 9th 2020.

She married William Robert Glover, Jr. on December 28th 1958. They were married for over 50 years before Bill passed away in 2017. She is survived by her daughters, Ann G. Raiford and husband Rex of Greenville, Martha G. Beach of Williamston, a granddaughter, Rachel Raiford Gauvin and husband Jesse of Greenville and a grandson William Raiford of Durham.

She graduated from East Carolina College with a degree in Education. She later returned to ECU and obtained her Master's Degree. She taught elementary school for over 30 years and was loved by generations of her students. She was inducted into the Delta Kappa Gamma National Teaching Sorority. Betty Ann was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Betty Ann was always active in the creative arts. She appeared in productions of the Lost Colony in Manteo in the 1950's. She was a published author and accomplished artist even having a painting displayed in the Library of Congress after winning a national level competition.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery with Reverend Joe Cooper officiating. Family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Episcopal Church in Plymouth where the Glovers were active members.

Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
