Obituary for Alma Edith Dillon Ralph
Alma Edith Dillon Ralph, 91 years of age, joined her six siblings in heaven along with her Mom and Dad on March 9, 2012. Alma was born March 7, 1921 in Tyrrell County to Edith Missouri Twiddy Dillon and Mountewill Bowen Dillon. Her six siblings that preceded her in death were Edward Lee Dillon, Thelma Dillon Bunch, Gladys Dillon DuBois, Crysteen Dillon Poulos, Virginia Dillon Sims and Doris Dillon Hancock. Alma was a homemaker and member of Arbor Grove Baptist Church. Alma's husband, William 'Bud' Clarence Ralph, of seventy-two years preceded her in death three years ago. Alma and Bud raised five childen, William Robert 'Bobby' Ralph and wife Joyce of Columbia, N.C., Wanda Beverly Ralph Cherry of Columbia, N.C., Judith 'Judy' Ann Ralph Nelligar and husband Bill of Virginia Beach, VA., Nan Marie Ralph Hollie and husband Wayne and Steven Vincent Ralph and wife Jamie both of Columbia, N.C.. She was a grandma to fifteen grandchildren, Sherri Hall, Lara Hall Abbott and husband Ray, Robin Hall Withrow and husband Tom, Amanda Ralph Varner, Tracy Ellen Cherry Jones, Larry Tyrone Cherry and wife Brook, John Wesley Cherry, III, Amy Rae Nelligar King and husband David, Eric Michael Nelligar, Gina Marie Nelligar Giordano and husband George, James 'Brandon' Taylor, Sr. and wife Krystal, Jennifer Marie Hollie, Breanne Marie Hollie, James 'Devin' Craddock and wife Joann and Vincent 'Dylan' Ralph. She was great grandma to eleven great grandchildren, Jason Stokley Varner, Johnny Ratliff, Waylon Withrow, Wyatt Withrow, Kristen Beverly King, Joyce Marie Jones, Braeden Parker Nelligar King, Addison Ray Nelligar, Lena Lynn Litton, James 'Brandon' Taylor, Jr., Raelynn Morgan Taylor and great great grandma to Carson Withrow. Alma leaves behind many loving family members and friends. Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 2:30 pm at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell. Burial will follow in the Dillon Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 2:00 to 2:30 pm at Maitland Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
