Obituary for Harrell Leroy Haire
Harrell Leroy Haire, 82, of Creswell died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at his residence in Creswell. Born October 9, 1929 in Washington County he was the son of the late James Edward Haire and Billie Woodley Haire and was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Haire Furlough, Agatha Haire Phelps and Viva Haire Curcio; brothers, William Edward Haire and Henderson Wendell Haire. Leroy was a retired food service supervisor with the North Carolina Department of Corrections, a U.S. Army Veteran, member of Providence Lodge No. 678 A.F. & A.M. and member of Mount Tabor Free Will Baptist Church where he served as trustee and chairman of the building committee. His family includes his wife, Virginia Clough Haire of Creswell, N.C.; daughter, Kay Haire Galloway of Indian Land, S.C.; sons, Harold Neal Haire of Cary, N.C. and Mark Edwin Haire and wife Michelle of San Antonio, TX.; grandchildren, Kristen Galloway, Kathryn Galloway and Marie Haire. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Tabor Free Will Baptist Church, Creswell with Reverend Edwin Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
