Obituary for Richard Harold Sherrill, Sr.
Richard Harold Sherrill, Sr., 75, of Plymouth died Monday, March 23, 2020, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.
Born June 22, 1944 in Decherd, Tennessee he was the son of the late Richard Hampton Sherrill and Opal Virginia Brown Sherrill and was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia and Wilma Sherrill and brother Leo Sherrill. Richard worked as a automotive mechanic for many years and later worked for Tampa Bay Cab Company as a taxi-driver, was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church. He loved reading and studying his Bible and loved his family dearly.
His family includes his wife, Patricia Modlin "Patty" Sherrill of Plymouth, N.C.; daughter, Tina S. Morris and husband Johnny of Manchester, TN., Shelley Hall and husband Lamarr of Brandon, FL.; sons, Richard Haven Sherrill and wife Mandy of Brandon, FL., Ricky Hampton Sherrill and wife Ruth of Manchester, TN., Richard Harold Sherrill, Jr. of Manchester, TN., Jack Chesson, Jr. of Tampa, FL., Stacy Chesson of Tampa, FL. and Tracy Chesson of Wilmington, N.C.; sisters, Joy Sherrill Nevill and husband Bobby of Manchester, TN. and Ruth Sherrill Gore and husband Clyde of Tullahoma, TN.; twenty-one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
