Obituary for William Page Bohannon, III
William Page Bohannon, III, AKA "Bill", "Billy Bo" and "Coach Bo", 66, of Powell's Point, N.C. went to be with the Lord and his son, William "Page" Bohannon, IV on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Powell's Point Baptist Church with Pastor Eugene McLawhorn and Pastor Tom Oliver officiating. Family and friends may gather together at 1:00 p.m. for visitation prior to the service.
A native of Currituck County, he was the son of the late William Page "Buck" Bohannon, Jr. and Wilma Bohannon Harris and step-son of the late Gettis Harris, Sr.. He was an Air Force Veteran of six years, a retired school teacher of thirty three years, an athletic coach of thirty years and a member of Powell's Point Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Thomsen Bohannon; sister, Dottie B. Jordan and husband Jim; brother, Mike Harris, Jr. and wife Lindy; sister, Ruthanne Perry; son, Aaron W. Bohannon and wife Angie; daughter, Mary V. Elliott; step-son, Philip Brown; step-daughter, Jennifer Sawyer; grandchildren, Jake Coogle, Bryan Bohannon, Daniel Johnson - Bohannon, Savannah Hughes, Gracie Bohannon, Wesley Sawyer, Justin Sawyer and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Special thanks to nephews Todd Dozier and Seth Perry.
