Obituary for Shirley Crizer Thompson
Shirley Crizer Thompson, 81, of Plymouth died Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Chowan Hospital in Edenton. Born February 27, 1930 in Covington, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Henry Crizer and Mary Arritt Crizer and was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Clifford Thompson. Shirley was a seamstress at Plymouth Garment Company and was a member of Plymouth Church of Christ and New Hope Church of God. Her family includes her daughters, Virginia T. Allen and husband Johnny of Plymouth, N.C. and Evelyn T. Armstrong and husband Allen of Plymouth, N.C.; brothers, Bobby Crizer and Paul Crizer of Covington, Virginia; three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Plymouth Church of Christ with Bob Moulden and Edwin Long officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will recieve friends on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Plymouth Church of Christ and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
