Obituary for Sally Grissom Cooper

Sally Grissom Cooper was the oldest of six children born to Doris McRoy Grissom on December 25, 1953 in Beaufort County.  She lived her life to the fullest until she was called home to the Lord on Monday, May 8, 2023.

Sally married her husband, Herbert Cooper, on January 8, 1971.  They were a fearlessly loving couple who vowed to love, through sickness and health, and they did!  They went on to have two children, Cecil and Misty Cooper.  Sally was a homemaker.  She loved taking care of her family.  It meant everything to her.  She adored her seven grandchildren, Kodey, Shane, Katelyn, Cassie, Destiny, Jesse, and Malachi.  She was blessed with five great grandchildren, Harmonee, Ermias, Baylor, Jahi, and Baby Harrell.

Sally was a strong-willed and fearlessly loving woman.  All throughout her life she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She loved thrift shopping, dancing, listening to music, cooking, baking, planting flowers, celebrating holidays, and most of all she loved her family.

Many words could describe Sally but none can come close to describing how her loved ones feel now.  Though it may be hard, her family knows that she's better off in Heaven.  She has her mansion, streets of gold, beautiful scenery, and many flowers to plant for all eternity.  Though we aren't all with her, hopefully we will see her again on other other side of those pearly gates.  We will miss her dearly, more than many would ever know, a piece of us went with her the day the Lord called her home.

Sally leaves to cherish her memories her husband Herbert; children, Cecil and wife Joanna, and Misty; sisters, Barbara, JoAnn, and Dorothy; grandchildren, Kodey, Shane, Katelyn, Cassie, Destiny, Jesse, and Malachi; great grandchildren, Harmonee, Ermias, Baylor, Jahi, and Baby Harrell, family and friends.  She's preceded in death by her mother Doris and her two brothers, James Jr. and James Monty.

Please remember Sally and keep her memories alive.  They will always be with you forever in your hearts and minds!  She loved you all until the end of time!
