Robbin Evelyn Yow Ambrose, age 60, of Roper, NC went to sleep on Thursday night and awoke with Jesus on Friday, October 27th, 2023.
Robbin was born in Columbus County, NC on August 11,1963. She grew up in Lake Waccamaw, NC. After graduation from high school she attended college and studied early childhood development. She worked in the daycare industry for several years until she began her own family. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children.
Once Robbin became a Mimi, she found a new love for life. There is nothing that brought her more joy than her "angels". She and Happy looked forward to their annual summer vacation with all of the grandchildren. She also found joy spending time at their camper at the beach, hunting for a deal, and talking on the phone until the battery ran dead.
Robbin is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 22 years, Happy Ambrose; her children Charles Weathersbee (Micah), Brian Weathersbee (Jenna), Caleb Ambrose, Michael Weathersbee, Sierra Ambrose and the seven most important people of her life - her grandchildren Gracie, Clara, Julie, Brileigh, Joseph, Emily, and Ian. Her additional family includes her sisters, Illa Cartrette and Sharon Jacobs, best friend, Patricia Hinson and her beloved dog Bear. She was preceded in death by her brother Leonard Yow and sister Jeanette Hinson.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Dr. Russ Ambrose and Pastor Donald Conway officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. and other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
