Obituary for Richard Blacknall Holeman, Jr.
Richard Blacknall Holeman, Jr., 90, of Plymouth died Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Roanoke Landing in Plymouth.
Born February 27, 1926 in Durham County he was the son of the late Richard B. Holeman, Sr. and Novie Leigh Horner Holeman and was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Marie Rice and brother, James Horner Holeman. Dick was a retired pharmaceutical sales representative with Wyeth Laboratories with 43 years service and a member of Plymouth Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II, a Mason and Shriner.
His family includes his daughter, Carlisle Holeman of Plymouth, N.C.; son, Richard B. Holeman, III of Snow Hill, N.C.; grandchildren, David W. Scott and Teresa Jones; great grandchildren, Logan Scott and Sariah Jones; step grandchildren, Kimberlee Scott and Sean Scott.
Memorial service will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Plymouth Church of Christ with Jay Hardison officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Easter Seals UCP North Carolina, 5171 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 211, Raleigh, N.C. 27612 in memorial to Richard B. Holeman, Jr. for the United Cerebral Palsy Group Home in Snow Hill where his son, Richard B. Holeman, III resides.
