Obituary for Pearl H. Spencer
Mrs. Pearl Hardison Waters Spencer, 96 of Plymouth died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Plumblee Nursing Center, Plymouth.
Born May 5, 1913 in Martin County she was the daughter of the late Henry Lloyd Hardison and Mary Lilley Hardison and was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence Waters and Earl Spencer; sisters, Katie Winslow, Essie Griffin and Thelma Keel; brothers, Vernon Hardison, William Hardison, George Hardison, Garland Hardison and Nick Hardison. Pearl was a retired self-employed restaurant owner and member of Plymouth Church of the Nazarene.
Her family includes her sons, Billy Waters and wife Carol and Wayne Waters and wife Wanda of Roper, N.C.; sister, Zelda H. Jaegar of Joliet, Ill. and brother, Lloyd S. Hardison of Plymouth, N.C.; grandchildren, Bill Waters and wife Beth, Amy Parker and husband Dave and Stephanie Hendrix and husband Mark; great grandchildren, Stephen Parker, Joshua Parker, Kyle Hendrix, Tyler Hendrix, Paula Rountree, Hailie Waters and Darby Waters.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 4, 2009 at 11:00 am at Plymouth Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Tim Litchley, Reverend Edgar Masencup and Reverend Steve Creech officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Plymouth Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements are by Maitland Memorial Chapel, Plymouth.
