Obituary for Paul Gene Elliott
Paul Gene Elliott, 82, of Creswell and Nebo died Friday, August 21, 2015 at Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Born May 20, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana he was the son of the late Thurlow Weed Elliott and Mabel Buchanan Elliott Rhodes and was preceded in death by his first wife, Dot Anderson Elliott and sister, Jessie Mae Holycross. Paul worked for 15 years with the Marion Police Department, later became constable of Nebo and retired from American Roller Bearing as a purchasing agent. He was a U.S. Army veteran, member of First Free Will Baptist Church and attended Philippi Church of Christ, Creswell.

His family includes his wife, Frances Dillon Elliott of Nebo, N.C.; son, Michael K. Elliott and wife Lorraine of Nebo, N.C.; brother, Gene Elliott of Nebo, N.C.; step-mother, Mary Walters of Marion, N.C.; step-daughter, Robyn Berry of Creswell, N.C.; step-son, J.R. O'Neal of Mims, FL. and six grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 24, 2015 at 7:30 pm at Philippi Church of Christ Family Life Center, Creswell, with Glenn Brickhouse officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Philippi Church of Christ Family Life Center and other times at the residence. Paul will be taken Tuesday to Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion, N.C. for services there on Wednesday and burial at McDowell Memorial Park.

Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
