Obituary for Pamela Ward 'Pam' Simmons
Pamela Ward Arnold "Pam" Simmons, 61, of Columbia died Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton. Born July 27, 1953 in Tyrrell County she was the daughter of the late Willis R. Ward and Florence Phelps Ward. Pam was a retired detention officer with Dare County Detention Center, a member of the N.C. Sheriff's Association and member of Albemarle Church of Christ. Her family includes her husband, Creston M. Simmons, Jr. of Columbia, N.C.; sons, Corey Arnold and wife Renee' of Columbia, N.C. and Brad Arnold and wife Paulette of Edenton, N.C.; sister, Deborah Ward Jackson of Columbia, N.C.; grandchildren, Camryn, J.T. and Michael. Memorial service will be held Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Albemarle Church of Christ, Columbia with Glenn Brickhouse and Leon Williams officiating. Family will receive friends on Sunday at the church following the service and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral home, Creswell.
