Norman Edward Hill, 72, of Jamesville, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Lenoir County on January 12, 1953, and raised in Black Jack, NC, Norman was the son of the late Albert Franklin Hill and Martha Leida Briley Hill. He proudly served in the United States Army and later dedicated many years as the Service Manager at Lee Chevrolet. A man of faith, Norman lived his life with integrity, kindness, and a heart for others.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Kimberly Hardison Hill of Jamesville, NC, daughters Melanie Hill Cooper (Tim) of Chesapeake, VA, and Holly Rebekah Thornton of Williamston, NC; sons Norman Scott Hill (Lauren) of Gulfport, MS, Tyler Mark Clifton (Dale) of Jamesville, NC, and Bobby Steven Clifton of Wilmington, NC; brothers Jack Bates (Lola) and Willie Hill (Cathy), both of Greenville, NC; and cherished grandchildren Jackson Cooper, Tristen Hill, Harper Hill, Judah Hill, Chloe Clifton, Chase Clifton, and Connor Clifton.
Norman was a devoted husband, proud father, and loving grandfather who adored his family. He enjoyed camping, playing golf, dancing, and watching NASCAR on the weekends. He had a lighthearted spirit, a kind heart, and lived each day to its fullest.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Maitland Funeral Home in Plymouth, with his son, Scott Hill officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
