Obituary for Neva Ausbon Salyer Humphries
Neva Ausbon Salyer Humphries, 74, of Plymouth died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington. Born July 16, 1938 in Hampton, Virginia she was the daughter of the late George Roderick Salyer and Hazel Ausbon Salyer and was preceded in death by her brother, George R. Salyer, Jr. Neva was a homemaker and member of Grace Episcopal Church. She was an organizing member of Brickhouse Landing Daughters of the American Revolution and an advocate for animal rights. Her family includes her husband, Charles Benjamin Humphries and daughter, Kim Renee Humphries and grandson, John 'Jay Jay' Stallings, III. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church with The Reverend Henry Burdick officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday at the church following the service and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
