Obituary for Marvin Howard 'Bud' Campbell
Marvin Howard 'Bud' Campbell, 80, of Plymouth died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Vidant Beaufort Medical Center in Washington. Born September 29, 1932 in Richwood, West Virginia he was the son of the late Harold Burton Campbell and Nona Johnson Campbell and was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Campbell and Eugene Campbell. Bud was a retired paper machine operator with Weyerhaeuser Corporation and member of Plymouth Church of the Nazarene. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge. His family includes his wife, Mildred Reason Campbell of Plymouth, N.C.; daughter, Sylvia Renee Campbell of Plymouth, N.C.; sons, Thomas Howard Campbell and wife Kim of Raleigh, N.C., Jason Howard Campbell and wife Shelia of Williamston, N.C., Michael Eugene Campbell and wife Peggy of Columbia, S.C. and Phillip Glenn Campbell and wife Toni of Bear Grass, N.C.; sister, Joann C. West of Monroe, Va.; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Gardens, Plymouth with Reverend Edgar Masencup officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday following the service at the graveside and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Plymouth Church of the Nazarene Building Fund. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
