Obituary for Marion Cutchins Nano
Marion Cutchins Nano, 88 went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.
Born September 10, 1930 in Southampton County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Linwood Cutchins and Nonie Fowler Cutchins and was preceded in death by her sisters, Mazie Baugham, Jessie Pope, Mary Johnson, Alice Hill and Anna Catherine Stephenson; brothers, L.C. Cutchins and Raymond Cutchins; half-sister, Betty Throckmorton. Marion was a homemaker and member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed serving in various mission activities in the church. Her devoted pastor and friend Leonard Bowers attended to her up to her last hours of life.
Her family includes her daughters, Deborah Denson Waters and husband Walter, Robyn Katherine Denson and Pamela Jackson and husband Rick; son, James C. Denson; grandchildren, Hayley Harrison Kelly and husband Michael, Philip Jackson and Ashley Jackson; great grandchildren, Rebekah Harris and wife Emily and Graham Floyd; loving niece, Linda Baugham and husband Sam; half-sisters, Elizabeth Sadler, Millie Butner, Bertha Baughhan, Rebecca Mercer and Kate Nadden; half-brothers, Frank Porter, Lee Etheridge and Jim Long.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Pastor Leonard Bowers officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN. 38148-0142. Family would like to thank the staff at Washington County Hospital for their care of Mrs. Nano and the family in her final hours. Special thanks to nurses Lisa Hickman and Jackie Johnson, also Kyne Downing at Roanoke Landing Nursing Center.
