Obituary for Margaret S. Lynn
Mrs. Margaret Styons Lynn, 82, of Plymouth died Friday, December 11, 2009 at her residence.
Born November 17, 1927 in Martin County she was the daughter of the late Lewis S. Styons, Sr. and Mary Hardison Styons and was preceded in death by her husbands, Felton E. Magee and William L. Lynn; sons, Travis E. Magee, Terry A. Magee and Troy F. Magee; brothers, William J. Styons, Nixon T. Styons and Phillip W. Styons. Mrs. Lynn was a retired lab technician with the City of Norfolk and member of Plymouth Church of Christ.
Her family includes her daughter, Toni M. Cockrell and husband, Arthur of Belhaven, NC; son, L. Todd Magee of Virginia Beach, VA; step-daughter; Debbie Vaughan of Chesapeake, VA; step-sons, Allen Lynn of Williamston, NC, Donald Lynn of Portsmouth, VA, Michael Lynn of Gallipolis, OH, Jimmy Lynn of Newport News, VA; sisters, Melrose S. Waters, Helen S. Miller and Pat S. Lynn all of Plymouth, NC; brothers, Lewis S. Styons, Jr., D. Marion Styons of Plymouth, NC and Raymond E. Styons of Roper, NC; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren and eleven step-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 11:00 am at Plymouth Church of Christ with Bob Moulden officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 14, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Plymouth Church of Christ and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Margaret S. Lynn Memorial Fund, c/o Plymouth Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Maitland Memorial Chapel, Plymouth.
