Obituary for Louis Preston 'Buck' Craddock, Sr.
Louis Preston 'Buck' Craddock, Sr., 69, of Jamesville and formerly of Edenton died Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Martin General Hospital in Williamston after a long illness. Born October 6, 1944 in Chowan County he was the son of the late Louis Henry Craddock and Sarah Lane Craddock. 'Buck' was a retired HVAC Technician with Carters Ink and member and deacon of Jamesville Christian Church. He was a former member of the Jaycees, Albemarle Sound:Edenton Barber Singers, Edenton Masonic Lodge and Edenton and Jamesville Ruritan Club. His family includes his wife of 44 years, Rachel Waters Craddock of Jamesville, N.C.; daughter, Melissa C. Peaden and husband Mike of Winterville, N.C.; son, L. Preston Craddock, Jr. of Jamesville, N.C.; sisters, Betsy Jackson and husband Carlton and Joyce Lassiter and husband George both of Edenton, N.C.; brother, Joseph Craddock and wife Amy of Edenton, N.C. He is also survived by his in-laws, Dorothy Gentry of Jacksonville, N.C., Helen Bass of Jamesville, N.C. and Jackie Davis and husband Gus of Morehead City, N.C.; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and grandanimals. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Jamesville Christian Church with Reverend Doug Stokes and Reverend Ashby Browder officiating. Burial service will follow at 5:00 pm at Beaver Hill Cemetery in Edenton. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Jamesville Christian Church, 1134 St. Andrews Street, Jamesville, N.C. 27846. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
