Obituary for Loretta Barnes Lupton
Loretta Jane Barnes Lupton, 80, of Roper died Friday, February 21, 2020, at her residence in Roper.

Born September 5, 1939 in Washington County she was the daughter of the late Dallas Winton Barnes and Stella Myers Barnes and was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lupton; daughter, Drema Wiggins; sisters, Barbara Robinson and Jeanette Ayers; brother, Leonard Barnes. Loretta worked for many years as a receptionist at the Port Of Plymouth Museum and was a member of The Upper Room of Plymouth.

Her family includes her daughter, Danita S. Davis and husband Jeff of Roper, N.C.; son, Dale T. Sing of Roper, N.C.; step-sons, Sammy Snead of Delaware, Jessie Snead of Windsor, VA. and Gary Snead of Williamston, N.C.; sisters, Ramona Hainsworth of Plymouth, N.C., Judia Mullin of Oxnard, CA. and Linda Dwyer of Windsor, N.C.; brothers, Elton Barnes of Roper, N.C., Mike Barnes of Micro, N.C. and Ray Barnes of Toana, VA.; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at The Upper Room of Plymouth with Reverend Allen Pearson and Reverend Jimmy Hagwood officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday at the church following the service and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Upper Room, c/o Hazel Williams, 51 South Hidden Lake Road, Creswell, N.C. 27928
