Obituary for Lee Anderson West
Lee Anderson West, 89 of Plymouth passed from this life Friday, December 7, 2018 at Roanoke Landing and Rehab in Plymouth. He was born December 22, 1928 in Conway, South Carolina, son of the late Acie Anderson West and Myrtie Skipper West. He was the oldest son of 14 children. Lee was a member of Plymouth Church of Christ. Lee retired from Weyerhaeuser in Plymouth as machine superintendent on #1 paper machine after a lifetime of service in the paper industry. Work was his passion; whether at the paper mill or at home. Lee strongly believed in working hard. Lee was a very loving and affectionate man. He could often be seen giving out hugs and kisses to all. He loved his family and he never minded bragging on them to anyone who would listen. His hobbies and talents included playing golf, fishing, grilling, and he was very skilled at fixing anything.

In addition to his parents, Lee was predeceased by eight siblings, David West, McDonald West, Acie West,Jr., Cecil Hewitt, Louella Richardson, Albertine Martin, Coleen Medieros and Andy West. Lee is survived by 5 siblings, Alex West (Adeline) of Conway, Halbert West (Terri) of Conway, Willie West (Jan) of Conway, Linda Jordan of Conway, Myrtis Larrimore (Early) of Britton's Neck and Ann Jordan (Aubrey) of Conway. Lee married Josephine Wunder West, on May 15, 1959 who preceded him in death. Lee and Josephine enjoyed 57 beautiful years of marriage. Lee was a great caregiver for Josephine when her health failed. Lee is survived by daughters, Lee Anne West Oliver and husband Greg of Plymouth, N.C. and Anna Lee Gribensk and Tim of Enterprise AL. Lee is also survived by two step sons, Joseph Brunofsky and wife Jaymie of St. Augustine, FL. and Tom Brunofsky and Teresia of Memphis, IN. In addition, Lee is survived by children, Dale Wilcoxin, Donna Avery and Dennis West and their spouses and families. His loving legacy includes his grandchildren, Brian Oliver and wife Hannah; Dana Murph and husband Darren, Daniel Oliver and wife Alice; Kevin Oliver and wife Jessa, Jason Moore and Bridgett, Thomas Moore (deceased), Alaina Neely and husband Jonathan, Alexis Gribensk, Justin Brunofsky and Kelsey Brunofsky. Great grandchildren include Lydia Oliver, Judah Oliver, Zachary Moore, Madelyn Moore, John Thomas Neely, Jackson Brunofsky and Wyatt Brunofsky, Lee is also survived by his loving dog "Angel".

Funeral service will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Plymouth Church of Christ with Brian Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends prior to the service at Plymouth Church of Christ and other times at the residence.
