John Michael Pierce Sr., of Jamesville, a devoted servant of the Lord, passed away, surrounded by his loving family at home on January 4, 2025. After a long and courageous battle, he is now healed and whole in the presence of his Savior. He leaves behind his loving wife, Juanita Coltrain Pierce. John is survived by his children; son, John "Michael" Pierce Jr. and his wife, Joy of Jamesville; daughter, Taylor Pierce Harrison and her husband, Garrett of Bear Grass. His legacy continues through his precious grandchildren, Jesslyn, Michaela, Riley, and Sadie. He is survived by his cherished father, Randy Pierce as well. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Biggs Pierce.
John's siblings, Ken (Melinda), Thomas, and Amanda (Brian), along with numerous nieces and nephews, mourn his loss. Known as a jack of all trades, John was a long-time electrician who could fix anything. He was not only skilled but also creative, artistic, and loving. He served his community in many ways, through his time as an elder of Maple Grove Christian Church and as a proud member and Lieutenant of Jamesville Community Volunteer Fire Department. He selflessly served with the department for 27.5 years.
His faith in God was his guiding light, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
John Michael will be celebrated with a visitation on Tuesday, January 7th at Maple Grove Christian Church from 6:00-8:00 PM. His funeral service, with firefighter honors, will be Wednesday, January 8th at Maple Grove Christian Church at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at the Jamesville Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John Michael's honor to the Jamesville Community Volunteer Fire Department.
