Obituary for Jack Warren House, Jr.
Jasper Warren "Jack" House, Jr., 92, of Plymouth died Thursday, July 16, 2020, at his residence in Plymouth.
Born January 27, 1928 in Pitt County he was the son of the late Jasper Warren House, Sr. and Lucille Murphy House and was preceded in death by his sister, Anne House Landing. Jack was a retired sales manager with the former House Chevrolet Company of Plymouth and member of Plymouth United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, President of the Plymouth Country Club, Past President of the Plymouth Lions Club, Past President of the Plymouth Jaycees and President of the Saturday Night Supper Club for fifty years. He was a man that loved his family, his church and all his friends. He enjoyed life to the fullest and his great smile and sense of humor gave much joy to all he met.
His family includes his wife, Dorothy Gerald "Dot" House of Plymouth, N.C.; daughters, Lynda H. Newman and husband Don of Chapel Hill, N.C., Cheryl H. Chesson and husband Stan of Woodstock, GA. and Julia H. Jordan and husband Clyde of Cheraw, S.C.; sister, Jacque H. Carawan of Plymouth, N.C.; grandchildren, Doug, Stephanie, Caroline and Worth; great grandchildren, Darcy, Callie, Daniel, Chelsey, Charley and Meredith.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Plymouth United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Vickie Woolard and Brian Sawyer officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Plymouth United Methodist Church.
