Herbert was the middle child of four children born to Elizabeth Twiddy Cooper and Robert Cecil Cooper on October 24, 1951. He lived his life as every bit of the best man we've ever known until he was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
Herbert married his wife, Sally Cooper, On January 8,1971. They were a fearlessly loving couple who vowed to love, through sickness and health, and they did! They went on to have two children, Cecil and Misty Cooper. Sally was a homemaker and Herbert was the way maker and together they bonded to create a beautiful family. He loved taking care of his family. He adored his seven grandchildren, Kodey, Shane, Katelyn, Cassie, Destiny, Jesse, and Malachi. He was blessed with five great grandchildren, Harmonee, Ermias, Baylor, Jahi, an Baby Harrell.
Herbert was a strong, wise, and loving man. All throughout his life he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved wrestling, fishing, listening to music, Fords, and most of all he loved his family.
Many words could describe Herbert but none can come close to describing how his loved ones feel now. Though it may be hard, his family knows that he's better in Heaven. He has his mansion, streets of gold, all the best fishing gear, to share with his wife Sally for all eternity. Though we aren't all with him, hopefully we will see him again on the other side of those pearly gates. We will miss him dearly, more than many would ever know, a piece of us went with him the day the Lord called him home.
Herbert leaves to cherish his memories; his children, Cecil and Misty, grandchildren, Kodey, Shane, Katelyn, Cassie, Destiny, Jessie, and Malachi; great grandchildren, Harmonee, Ermias, Baylor, Jahi, and Baby Harrell, family and friends.
He's preceded in death by his wife Sally; mother Elizabeth, father Robert and his four brothers, Joe, Leon and the two twin boys. Please remember Herbert and keep his memories alive. They will always be with you forever in your hearts and minds! He loved you all until the end of time!
The Cooper Family would like to express their appreciation for all the love, support, and expressions of kindness during this time. They ask that you continue to keep them in your prayers for the days ahead as they navigate their way through this process. Thank you.
