Obituary for Gertrude Daniels Ange
Gertrude Daniels Ange, 86, of Plymouth died Thursday, September 21, 2017, at her residence
in Plymouth.

Born March 17, 1931 in Martin County she was the daughter of the late Hershel Daniels and Esther Chesson Daniels and was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Foster Ange; daughter, Wanda Lynn Ange and brother, Ray Daniels. Mrs. Ange was a retired security guard at Weyerhaeuser, a dedicated homemaker and caregiver. She was a member of the Plymouth Eastern Star and member of Gospel Light Church of Christ. She was very active in helping to establish the Homebound Program in Washington County working with the Board of Education and other state offices.

Her family includes her daughter, Kimberly Styons and husband Phil of Plymouth, N.C.; sons, Gary Lee Ange and wife Sandra of Plymouth, N.C., Stephen Kent Ange of Robersonville, N.C., Terry Wayne Ange and wife Renee and Jerry Lane Ange both of Plymouth, N.C.; sisters, Anne Brown of Hampton, VA. and Margaret Holliday of Plymouth, N.C.; brother, William "Bill" Daniels and wife Jean of Plymouth, N.C.; sister-in-law, Martha Daniels of Plymouth, N.C.; special care giver and granddaughter, Tracey Tingen and husband James; grandchildren, Lee Ange, Ryan Ange, Brandon Ange, Christian Ange and Trey Styons; great grandchildren, Jamey Tingen, Dylan Tingen, Madison Tingen and Jesse Ange.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at Gospel Light Church of Christ. Private burial will follow in the Marvin F. Ange Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 27, 2017 following the service at the church and other times at the residence.

Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
