Obituary for George Franklin 'Bunk' Brannon
George Franklin 'Bunk' Brannon, 78, of Plymouth died Monday, May 25, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Born April 21, 1937 in Pitt County he was the son of the late Jake Brannon and Callie Moore Brannon and was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Brannon Covington; son, Jerry Lee Brannon; sister, Dorothy Brannon Hodges; brothers, Jake Brannon and Charles Brannon. Bunk was a retired paper machine operator with Weyerhaeuser Corporation and a U.S. Air Force veteran. His family includes his wife, Linda Lipscomb Brannon; daughter-in-law, Darlene Brannon; niece, Linda H. Harrell and nephew, Douglas Hodges all of Plymouth, N.C. Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Hillside Memorial Gardens, Plymouth with Bob Moulden officiating. Family will receive friends at the graveside following the service and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
