Obituary for Geneva Alexander Humphreys
Geneva Alexander Humphreys, 87, of Plymouth died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington. Born April 5, 1927 in Washington County she was the daughter of the late Raymond Alexander and Martha Delma Overton Alexander and was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth A. Carpenter. Geneva was a retired insurance agency secretary and member of First Baptist Church. Her family includes her husband, Fred Hurst Humphreys of Plymouth, N.C.; daughter, Karen H. Rose and husband Wayne of Roper, N.C.; son, Kimberley H. Humphreys and wife Becky of Williamston, N.C.; sisters, Frances A. VanEpps of Dansville, Michigan and Helen A. Frost of Sardina, Ohio; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Hillside Memorial Gardens, Plymouth with Bob Moulden officiating. Family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her son, Kimberly H. Humphreys, 2550 Big Mill Road, Williamston, N.C. 27892 to help in his medical expenses. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
