Obituary for Fran Clifton Woodley
Fran Clifton Woodley, 72, of Creswell died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at her residence in Creswell. Born June 22, 1942 in Tyrrell County she was the daughter of the late Paul R. Clifton and Josephine Phelps Clifton and was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Melody Woodley; sister, Jean C. Russell and brother, Lue Gerry Clifton. Fran was co-owner of Woodley Sales & Service of Creswell and member of Philippi Church of Christ. Her family includes her husband, Larry W. Woodley of Creswell, N.C.; daughter, Tina Woodley Broome and husband Charles of Creswell, N.C.; son, Stewart Woodley and wife Stephanie of Winterville, N.C.; sisters, Averal C. Ambrose and Paulette C. Ambrose both of Creswell, N.C.; brother, Reid Clifton of Creswell, N.C.; grandchildren, Andy Broome, Larry Lee Broome, Caleb Woodley and Samantha Woodley. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 7:30 pm at Philippi Church of Christ, Creswell with Glenn Brickhouse, Stewart Woodley, Edwin Smith, Guy Markley, Jr. and Dennis Roger Davis officiating. Private family burial will follow on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 am in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Philippi Church of Christ and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
