Obituary for Fenner Toppins Waters
Fenner Toppins Waters, 97, of Plymouth died Sunday, May 26, 2019, at his residence in Plymouth.
Born August 11, 1921 in Martin County he was the son of the late Edgar G. Waters and Irma Gaylord Waters and was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred W. Peele; brothers, Robbie Waters, Marion Waters and Dallas Waters. Fenner retired from Weyerhaeuser Corporation as a boiler meter operator, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and member of First Baptist Church.
His family includes his wife, Grace Nobles Waters of Plymouth, N.C.; daughters, Jo Carol W. Hopkins and husband Ben of North Chesterfield, VA., Hollice W. Waters and husband Neill of Plymouth, N.C. and Fennette W. Outten and husband Jeff of Hot Springs, AR.; sister, Mercedes W. Dillow of Dublin, VA.; grandchildren, Mark Hopkins and wife Carol, Jennifer Tester and husband Chad, Brandon Waters and wife Michelle, Blair Turner and husband Kelby, Lindsay Gullett and husband Ryan, Stacia Petrancosta and husband Chris; great grandchildren, Chris, Melissa, Davis, Jackson, Brynna, Jayden, Maci, Braylee, Gracelyn, Tate, Maryn, Gwen and Ellis.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Plymouth Church of Christ with Bob Moulden and Jay Hardison officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Plymouth Church of Christ and other times at the residence.
