Obituary for Elouise Ange Respass
Elouise Ange Respass, 96, of Long Acre died Sunday, November 1, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Elouise was the daughter of the late Lonnie Lee Ange and Oresa Ange.
Elouise was born January 26, 1924 in Ange Town and was a member of Mt. Olive FWB Church for most of her life. In her later years she and her husband, Heber, were members of Hope FWB Church. She played an active role in her church and had a great love for music. She loved to sing and entertained us with "I'm Walking the Floor Over You" which was her beloved husband's favorite song. Our mother extended her home to countless people at all stages of their lives. She gave care, love, and fellowship for those in need. True to Eph. 6:1-2, her life was evident of God's promise as she honored her own father and mother and her days on this earth were long. Her flower gardens were an outing for Elouise as she enjoyed planting and arranging flowers for her home. Many of her plants were gifts from friends and family that she replanted in her flower garden. She played an active role in the development of the family construction company and growing the family farm. Her greatest asset was her love of family. She always enjoyed celebrating any event with her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren will always remember special Christmas celebrations at Grandma's house. She would often say, "It doesn't have to be a holiday to celebrate. What matters is that we are together." She will always be remembered for her kindhearted spirit and love for others. She will be greatly missed by all who had a pleasure of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 4, at 3:00 pm, at the farm, 10865 NC Hwy 32 south. Family and friends are invited to join us for this service as we say goodbye to our beloved mother and let her rest in the arms of Jesus.
Family and friends will be received at the home of Myra and Jerry Beasley, 25286 NC Hwy 32 N, Plymouth, NC 27962.
It was our mother's written request, "No flowers please, give them to the living."
Surviving children are Brenda Respass Forrest and husband, Roger, of Plymouth, Heber Ange Respass and wife, Ellen, of Plymouth and Myra Respass Beasley and husband, Jerry, of Plymouth. Grandchildren are Orville Jones, III, of Belhaven, Tana Dwyer and husband, Dan, of Colorado, GiGi Elrod and husband, James, of Washington, Justin Respass of Raleigh, and Kevin Beasley and wife, Kristina, of Washington. Great-grandchildren are Keith Elrod, Kellie Gardner, Andrew, Noah, Haiden, Harper and Zane Respass, Reid and Brett Mizelle, Mara and Molly Dwyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Heber L. Respass, Jr., grandson, Keith Allen Respass and two brothers, Cyril Ange and Marvin Ange.
Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
