Obituary for Dustin Worth McGowan
Dustin Worth McGowan, 25, of Roper died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Born November 30, 1989 in Richland County, S.C. he is the son of Milton Kensley McGowan and Brenda Lynn Ambrose McGowan who survive. Dustin was shop manager with Harris Farms of Roper and served in many other positions in the farming operation. His family includes besides his parents his wife, Jamie Davenport McGowan of Roper, N.C.; father and mother-in-law; James and Sandra Davenport of Roper, N.C.; brother-in-law, Howard Davenport of Roper, N.C.; grandparents, Jabie McGowan and Inez McGowan of Creswell, N.C. and Mary Griffin of Roper, N.C.; employer, adopted father and best friend, Mike Harris of Roper, N.C. Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Zion's Chapel Church of Christ, Roper with Mark Wilmoth and Glenn Brickhouse officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday at the church following the service and other times at the residence of James and Sandra Davenport. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the Washington County Relay For Life, ATTN: Melissa Lankford, 930B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834 in Dustin's memory. In life Dustin was always willing to help anyone and in death through his organ donation many people will benefit. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
