Christopher "Robin" Bowen was born June 14th, 1958 in Belhaven, NC. Robin lived in Plymouth with his family. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 15th, 2022. Robin was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Wilmer Bowen and Elva Rae Bowen.
Robin is survived by his loving wife, "Donna Lynn" of 49 years, of which 47 of those years happily married; son, Chris Bowen and wife Krissy, and two loving grandchildren, Mallory Lynn and Conner James, of Plymouth, NC. He is also survived by four loving sisters, Lois Reason and husband Jimmy, Barbara Elks, June Morris, Joyce Ann Bowen, all of Plymouth, NC; four loving brothers, Sidney Bowen and wife Shirley of Greenville, NC, Mike Bowen of Elizabeth City, NC, Terry Bowen and wife Linda of Mebane, NC, and Joey Bowen of Plymouth, NC, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Robin retired from Weyerhaeuser Corporation and Domtar in Plymouth, NC as a millwright with 45 years' service. He enjoyed those years of long hours and hard work with many friends and some of which he considered family. Those that knew him, knew how much he loved his family and friends. Robin enjoyed spending time at the Beach with his wife and family, where he loved surf fishing, and spending time with long time dear friends David Nano and wife Debbie, and Todd Moore and wife Joy. He also loved going to the Mountains and NASCAR Races. Robin spent many years working on cars alongside his son. Robin will be missed by his family and all that knew him.
Funeral service will be held Monday, December 19th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Reverend Ronnie Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18th, 2022 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home in Plymouth and other times at the residence.
