Obituary for Christina Cox McKimmey

Christina McKimmey, 50, of Plymouth, NC passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024.  She was born August 2nd, 1973, to Steve and the late Diane Cox of Plymouth.  She married the love of her life Joseph (Buddy) McKimmey on October 3, 1990, together they have two daughters, Samantha Stalls (Tyler) and Tiffany Ange (Cameron) all of Plymouth.  She leaves behind three grandchildren, Carly Roberson, McKinna Stalls and Jackson Stalls and a large loving number of siblings, Melissa (Mikki) Reynolds (Marcus) of Plymouth, Phillip Cox (Pamela) of Roper, James Cox (Sherry) of Rocky Mount, Myree Conway (Michael) of New Haven, Connecticut, Charles Butcher of Lexington, South Carolina and Beth Hill of Orlando, Florida.  In addition to the large sibling group, she leaves an even larger number of nieces and nephews whom she loved every so dearly.

She was a Homemaker, a CNA, a Billing Specialist for the MTW Health Department, and in her later years the best stay at home Nana to her three grandbabies.  She loved her three fur babies:  Rocky. Luna and Toby.  She enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by family and friends.  She was the glue, if you needed someone to talk to?  Her.  Need advice?  Her.  A shoulder to cry on?  Her.  She was the most giving, selfless, caring, loving person you could ever meet in this lifetime.  There are no words to say to express how greatly she will be missed, how greatly she was loved, and how to even describe the most beautiful mark she left on each and every person she knows.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Maitland funeral Home, Plymouth followed at 7:00 p.m. with a service of remembrance.  Family will receive friends at the residence.

Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
