Obituary for Charlie McCoy Daw, Sr.
Charlie McCoy Daw, Sr., 88, of Plymouth died Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Cross Creek Health Care in Swan Quarter. Born May 5, 1925 in Beaufort County he was the son of the late Charlie M. Daw and Fannie Davis Daw and was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene Douglas Daw, son, Jack M. Daw; sisters, Pearlie Burbage and Mary Duff; brothers, David Daw, Willie Daw, Ira Daw, Frank Daw and Leslie Daw. Charlie was a retired service technician with Eastern Fuels, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and member of Long Ridge Christian Church of Christ. His family includes his daughters, Janis D. Mobley and husband Louis of Plymouth, N.C. and Debbie D. Cahoon and husband Chester of Swan Quarter, N.C.; sons, Charlie M. Daw, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Plymouth, N.C. and Terry V. Daw and wife Sandra of Columbia, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Margie Daw; sister Margie Daw of Washington, N.C.; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Larry Woodley officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Maitland Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
