Obituary for Carole Ann Ambrose

Carole Ann Ambrose of Creswell, North Carolina was joyfully welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on September 20th, 2024 surrounded by her family.


Carole Ann, born to Ira and Ann Ambrose of Creswell, North Carolina spent her younger years surrounded by the love and devotion of her parents. In her adult years she went to live with Mary Selma Sawyer and later with Mary Alice Canney.


Carole Ann lived her life with a servants heart, always giving of what she had whenever she could.  She donated faithfully to her church, Mt. Hermon Methodist Church in Creswell, North Carolina.  She enjoyed supporting her cousins in various service projects and fundraisers.


Carole Ann spent her later adult years with her cousin, Mary Canney in Northern Virginia, surrounded by the adoration and curiosity of many younger cousins who she imparted her years of wisdom on.  She enjoyed collecting music boxes, solving word searches, reading, and studying the Bible.


Carole Ann could always be found with a cheerful smile, a Bible, a word search, and a good puzzle.  She taught those around her to love and live life to the fullest, to tell a joke when you can, to remember the little things, and to be grateful for everyday.  Carole Ann never missed an opportunity to see the good in the world, to take time to be grateful for those she loved and what she had, and to bring a smile to those around her.


The family will receive friends and family at Mt. Hermon Methodist Church in Creswell, North Carolina on Sunday September 29th at 1:30 p.m., with services and burial immediately following.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Hermon Methodist Church in Carole Ann's honor.


Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
