Obituary for Carlson Bryan Johnson, Sr.
Carlson Bryan Johnson, Sr., 86, of Roper died Monday, December 3, 2012, at his son's home in Roper. Born September 24, 1926 in Knoxville, Tennessee he was the son of the Jennings Johnson and Sybil Layden Johnson and was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn White Johnson; son, Carlson B. Johnson, Jr.; daughter, Darlene C. Johnson; sisters, Phyllis Lockwood and Joanne Johnson; brothers, Lamar Johnson, Eddie Johnson and Bryan Johnson. C.B. was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and Grace Baptist Church. His family includes his son; Donald W. Johnson and wife Renee of Roper, N.C.; daughter, Pamela J. Eason and husband Joey of Roper, N.C.; sisters, Mary Onley of Savannah, GA. and Evelyn Davenport of Camden, N.C.; brothers, Harvey Johnson of Edenton, N.C., Larry Johnson of Atlanta, GA.; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Steve Creech and Thomas Biggs officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens.
