Obituary for Blanche Phelps Cammon
Blanche Phelps Cammon, 99, of Roper, returned to her heavenly home on November 24, 2020. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God, supported her in her long life and ultimately gave her peace.
Blanche was born in Creswell, NC, to Seaton and Emma Phelps. She married her best friend, Raymond Cammon.
Blanche was an active and devoted member of the Roper Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Cammon, her parents, Seaton and Emma Phelps; brothers, Willie and Joseph Phelps, and great granddaughter, Rachel Sharpe.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Toledo C. Chappell and husband Billy of Roper, NC; granddaughters, Vanessa Leggett and Patty Sharpe; great grandchildren, Joshua, Sierra, Caleb and Matthew; great great grandchildren, Faith, Jordan, Ryleigh and Isabel; a sister, Theressa McDonald of Roper, NC and a brother, Melvin Phelps of Virginia Beach, VA.; brother-in-law, Joseph Cammon of Hampton, VA., many nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved and a very devoted and loving care giver, Lisa.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Roper Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverends Tommy Oliver, Ralph Leggett and Tim Leggett officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the graveside following the service and other times at the residence of her daughter, Toledo Chappell.
Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
