Obituary for Betty Taylor Moore
Betty Taylor Moore, 75, of Roper died Monday, July 7, 2014, at her residence in Roper. Born July 20, 1938 in Martin County she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Taylor and Nealie Jones Taylor and was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Roberson, Martha Stauffer and Shirley Bailey; brothers, Thurman Taylor and Samuel Taylor. Betty was a homemaker and member of Zion's Chapel Church of Christ and served in the Cross Roads Ladies. Her family includes her husband, Roy Franklin Moore of Roper, N.C.; daughters, Betty Margaret Moore Williams of Mt. Juliet, TN. and Janet Rebecca Moore of South Mills, N.C.; son, Robert Franklin Moore and wife Ronda of Zebulon, N.C.; sisters, Peggy Jean Hubert of Camp Verdie, AZ. and Rose Leggett of Williamston, N.C.; brothers, Garland Taylor of Moyock, N.C., Carl Taylor, Dan J. Taylor, Billy Taylor, Tony B. Taylor and Jimmy Taylor all of Williamston, N.C. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at Zion's Chapel Church of Christ, Roper with Mark Wilmoth and Arnold Pressey officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Zion's Chapel Church of Christ, Roper and other times at the residence. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to McConnell-Raab Hope Lodge, 930A Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
