Obituary for Betty Lou Davenport Swindell
Betty Lou Davenport Coxe Pee' Swindell, 77, of Williamston died Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born February 5, 1940 in Washington County she was the daughter of the late Ray Branch Davenport and Mary Amanda Weede. Betty Lou was owner of Swindell Logging Company formerly Timberlands Maintenance and was a member of Shadow of the Cross Church in Jamesville.
Her family includes her husband, Richard Wade Swindell of Williamston, N.C.; daughters, Michele Coxe Maley and husband Gerald Richard of Williamston, N.C. and Lisa Coxe Andrews and husband James Richard of Summerville, S.C.; son, Jason Branch Pee' and husband David Lewis Richardson III of Charleston, S.C.; Richard Berry of Pinckney, N.C., Eric Swindell and wife Tammy of Bath, N.C. and Misty Swindell and fiancée Kirk Degruy of Reelsboro, N.C.; grandchildren, Brian Kenney and wife Amanda, Taylor Kinze, Elias Tupper, Garrett Tupper, Susannah Tupper, Anna Andrews, Ashton Swindell, Blake Swindell, Bobby Pollard and Tabbitha Pollard; great grandchildren, Jameson Kenney and Guinevere Singh.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Johnny Barber officiating. Private family burial will follow in Windley Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Maitland Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
