Obituary for Betty J. McNair
Betty J. McNair, age 88, of Plymouth, NC, went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2021.

Her parents were the late Leonard and Eula Fries of Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd G. McNair, Sr.; a sister, Helen Rockwell, of Severn, MD; and a brother, "Buddy" Fries, of Baltimore, MD.

Surviving are her sons, Lloyd G. McNair, Jr. of Williamston, NC; George McNair of Windsor, NC; and Eric Inwood, and spouse, Maria, of Florida; and her daughter, Sharon M. Beasley, and spouse, Hal D. Beasley, Jr., of Plymouth, NC; and a sister, Ruth LaFlame, of Belcamp, MD.

She has three grandchildren: Hal D. Beasley, III of Fairfax, VA; Eric Anthony Inwood, and Erica Inwood of Florida.

She was a devoted Homemaker, and a devout Christian who was passionate about her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She never tired of telling people about the Lord.

In years past, she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and spent several years going to various nursing homes sharing the good news of the Gospel, and singing hymns with them.

Mom was a true Prayer Warrior, and would pray anytime, anywhere, and tell you to believe. She knew plenty of scriptures to share with you.

Some of our fondest memories are of mom playing the guitar, singing songs from her childhood like "Jambalaya" when we were young.

She loved music, and a beat. The last year, even at 88, she would play her grandson's drums and sing Christmas songs and hymns. She'd stomp her feet, and clap her hands to the music. She was also an artist and taught art for a while.

She will be dearly missed, but we will be reunited in Heaven at our appointed time.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Windley Cemetery.
Family will receive friends following the service at the graveside and other times at the residence of her daughter Sharon Beasley.

Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
