Obituary for Beatrice E. Dawson
On January 22, 2010 at Washington County Hospital, the Lord said to Beatrice E. "Bea" Dawson, "Come and rest my good and faithful servant." "Aunt Bea" was born on April 26, 1910 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late William A. and Mary C. Everett. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society, Order of the Eastern Star and Saints Delight Church of Christ. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. "Aunt Bea" was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years John A. Dawson, Sr; four brothers, Clarence, Earl, Will and Linwood Everett; two sisters, Mabel Bryce and Hattie Everett and one great grandchild, Zac Weeks. "Aunt Bea" is survived by a daughter, Mary Hill and husband Billy, a son Jack A. Dawson and wife Patricia; three grandchildren, Laura Phillips and husband Toby, BJ Marrow and Terri Weeks and husband James; seven great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kelsey Thompson, Amanda Phillips, Kristin and KJ Marrow, Caz and Chris Weeks; and two great great grandchildren, Addilynne and Joshua Weeks.
Funeral service will be held Monday, January 25, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Saints Delight Church of Christ, Roper with Lloyd Davis and Thomas Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Saints Delight Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Maitland Memorial Chapel, Plymouth.
