Obituary for Anna Faye Gay Furlough
Anna Faye Gay Furlough, 65, of Roper died Thursday, November 16, 2017, at her residence in Roper.
Born July 16, 1952 in Washington County she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Gay and Anna Jane Spruill Gay and was preceded in death by her husband, William Cecil Furlough, Sr.; sister, Diane Cox and brothers, Richard Wilson Gay, Woodrow Ray Gay and Woodrow Wilson Gay. Faye was a care giver until decline in her health. She was a member of First Original Freewill Baptist Church in Plymouth.
Her family includes her daughters, Cheryl F. Reason and husband Harvey of Williamston, N.C., Wendy F. Conner and Anna Lynn Gay both of the home in Roper, N.C., Cecilia F. Adams and husband William Earl of Ayden, N.C. and Felicia F. Reynolds, and husband Eric of Jamesville, N.C.; son, William Cecil Furlough, Jr. of Plymouth, N.C.; sisters, Patricia G. Miller of Columbia, N.C. and Sarah G. Lilley of Plymouth, N.C.; brother, Robert Junior Gay of Plymouth, N.C.; grandchildren, Harvey Lee Reason, Jr., Caitlyn Reynolds, Caleb VanHorn, David Griffin, Jr., Eric Reynolds, Jr., Dustin Adams and Leann Adams; great grandchildren, David Griffin, III and Eli Griffin.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Dr. Bobby Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Maitland Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her daughter, Felicia Reynolds at 3200 Grey Farm Road, Jamesville.
