Obituary for Andra Cowell Cohoon
Andra Mae Cowell Cohoon, 73, of Columbia died Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at her residence in the Gum Neck Community of Columbia.

Born September 30, 1946 in Tyrrell County she was the daughter of the late Amer Bennett Cowell and Martha Gibbs Cowell and was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Cowell.
Andra was a homemaker and member of Gum Neck Church of Christ.

Her family includes her husband, Richard Wayne Cohoon of Columbia, N.C.; daughter, Sue Cohoon Hewitt and husband Ronnie of Columbia, N.C.; son, Richard Wayne Cohoon, Jr. of Columbia, N.C.; sister, Joyce Boyce of Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Samantha Parker, Durand Hewitt and Thomas Cohoon; great grandchildren, Konnor Parker and Grace Parker.

Graveside service will be held Friday, August 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gum Neck Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Jon Langley officiating. Family will receive friends at the graveside following the service and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gum Neck Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund or Gum Neck Church of Christ Meals Fund.

Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
