Obituary for Linwood Rawles Everett, Jr.
Linwood Rawles Everett, Jr., otherwise known as L.R. or Junior Twiddy, 91, of Roper died Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton.

Born October 17, 1925 in Norfolk, Virginia he was the son of the late Linwood Rawles Everett, Sr. and Eloria Twiddy Everett and was preceded in death by his first wife, Dora Brickhouse Everett; son, Linwood R. Everett, III; grandson, Geoff Holt, sisters, Pearl Edwards, Estelle Basnight and Beulah Gibbs and brothers Jimmy Twiddy and Bill Everett. Mr. Everett was a retired machine tender with Weyerhaeuser Corporation and member of Zion's Chapel Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran.

His family includes his wife, Sandra Shrader Everett; daughters, Ann E. Holt and husband Wayne of Graham, North Carolina and Wanda E. Rhodes and husband Carroll Jr. of Plymouth, N.C.; grandchildren, Patricia Stuever, Christopher Rhodes, Brian Rhodes, Julie Wills, Stacy Williford, Brook Harding, Michael Toler, Jennifer Eubank; great grandchildren, Christopher, Noah, Alex, Jacob, Trever, Elijah, Tommy, Jessie, Cole, Everett, Owen, Kimberly, Reid, Kristin, Mikayla, Rhiannah, Evelyn, Davis, Isadora and Adelle.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Zion's Chapel Church of Christ, Roper with Mark Wilmoth officiating. Burial will follow at Albemarle Church of Christ Cemetery in Columbia. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 1:00 to 1:45 pm at Zion's Chapel Church of Christ and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Zion's Chapel Church of Christ, PO Box 99, Roper, N.C. 27970 or Community Home Care and Hospice, 107 West Boulevard, Williamston, N.C. 27892.
